Greenovation Urban Climate Resilience Challenge
Challenge Overview
The Greenovation Urban Climate Resilience Challenge is designed to identify, support, and scale affordable, contextually relevant innovations for urban India. This challenge invites startups, innovators and social entrepreneurs to build solutions for heat resilience, clean air, nature-based solutions, and climate-safe livelihoods across Indian cities.
Win up to ₹20 Lakh in cash awards and a chance to secure investment of up to ₹1 Crore in equity or debt.

Heat & Built Environment
Cool roof solutions, passive cooling housing, climate-resilient public spaces, and urban heat mapping tools
Air, Mobility and Waste Systems
Hyperlocal air quality monitoring, clean last-mile mobility, decentralised waste management, and dust and emission control solutions
Livelihoods, Health and Inclusion
Heat-safe livelihood kits, community cooling hubs, micro-insurance for climate risks, and women-led climate enterprises
Water and Food Systems
Decentralised water systems, urban water body restoration, solar cold storage for food supply chains, and urban farming solutions
Data and Finance
Integrated climate data platforms, climate fintech solutions, carbon and impact credit platforms, and decision-support tools for cities
Who should Apply
- Startups and social entrepreneurs developing technologies or business models for any of the listed problem statements
- Solutions in prototype, pilot-tested, or market-ready stages
- Founders committed full-time to the proposed solution
- Registered within the last 10 years
- Solutions applicable to the Indian urban context
