Dinabandhu Maharana
Dinabandhu Maharana is committed to community welfare and healthcare accessibility. His journey in social work began in 2006 when he witnessed a family struggling with malaria, an experience that deeply impacted him. He took personal initiative to provide aid, but the loss of a father to the illness highlighted the urgent need for better support systems. This motivated him to dedicate his efforts to helping vulnerable communities, addressing healthcare challenges, and improving accessibility for those in need.

A sustainability leader with over a decade of experience in rural development, natural farming, and grassroots institution building. As a driving force behind PSF’s mission, he empowers communities through climate-resilient and inclusive models. Padam holds a Master’s in Irrigation Water Management from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology and has studied Markets and Livelihoods at St. Francis Xavier University, Canada. With 25+ years of expertise in agriculture and dairy value chains, he is an Acumen Fellow and has worked with Nayara Energy Limited, SWISSAID, and SRIJAN, specializing in ecological agriculture and indigenous seed systems.

Samir Sharma
Samir, an engineer with an MBA and CFA, transitioned from a corporate C-suite career to impact-driven entrepreneurship, focusing on commercially viable sustainable projects. Motivated by the need for long-term agricultural solutions, he developed Biochar Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) projects to address stubble burning, reduce chemical fertilizer dependency, and generate continuous revenue for farmers. Believing in a win-win-win approach for farmers, developers, and the environment, he is working toward building scalable, technology-driven carbon removal systems.
