Greenovation Energy Challenge 2024

The Greenovation Energy Challenge invites early-stage startups and student innovators to present renewable energy solutions tailored for India’s agri and allied sectors. With rural India still heavily reliant on costly diesel-powered systems,
this challenge seeks innovations that boost access to clean, affordable energy—driving productivity, sustainability,
and income for farmers while supporting the shift away from fossil fuels.

Bhojpatta is an eco-friendly, zero-emission drying solution using India’s first indigenous prism technology. Easy to operate and affordable, it boosts drying speed without electricity costs. Designed for rural India, it reduces post-harvest losses, saves 40% on bills, and creates employment with training and handholding support.

Jeevith Reddy

Arkle Energy’s long-duration batteries provide reliable power for irrigation, cold storage, and food processing in rural India. With a 25-year lifespan and non-toxic, recyclable technology, they reduce reliance on diesel, cut costs, and minimize post-harvest losses—enabling efficient use of renewables and boosting sustainable productivity in agriculture and allied sectors.

Kisan Rover offers small-scale farmers an affordable, solar-powered machine that combines weeding, seeding, spraying, and fertilizer spreading. It cuts labor costs by up to 83%, eliminates emissions, and is easy for women to operate—promoting sustainable, efficient, and inclusive farming for improved livelihoods.

Farmoid leverages solar energy to power its IoT devices, enabling continuous operation in remote areas. This reduces carbon emissions, lowers costs, and supports sustainable agriculture. With battery life lasting up to five months, Farmoid ensures uninterrupted data collection and advisory services, fostering eco-friendly and resilient farming systems.

Renkube Pvt. Ltd. pioneers AgriPV—combining solar and agriculture—enabling farmers to earn ₹30,000/acre/year by leasing land for solar while continuing 100% cultivation. Using canopy-style solar panels, Renkube boosts energy generation by 40%, making AgriPV both economically viable and a sustainable income source for farmers.

Krishijeev Agri Products Pvt. Ltd. leverages solar energy and BESS in energy-efficient pulses milling units. Operating small-scale facilities in Jharkhand, it enhances local pulse production, creates jobs, and supports farmers with microcredits and market access, addressing import dependence and declining cultivation through sustainable, community-driven agriculture.

Arkashine offers AI-powered portable soil testing devices that deliver instant, lab-free results for farmers in remote areas. By providing tailored recommendations and cloud-based monitoring, Arkashine empowers data-driven decisions, improves soil health, boosts yields, and promotes accessible, efficient, and sustainable farming for underserved communities.

Visron’s hydrogen fuel-powered drone tackles pesticide overuse, labor shortages, and environmental harm by enabling efficient, eco-friendly spraying. With longer flight times and reduced emissions, it operates in remote, challenging terrains, easing farmer workload while boosting productivity, sustainability, and incomes through innovative, green agricultural technology.

It extends produce shelf-life by 3–5 times, uses just four units of power daily for 2,000 kg storage, and prevents crop damage.
