Indian Tea factories depend heavily on non-renewable combustible fuels. 65% of a tea factory’s energy demands is from the dryers which conventionally operate on coal and gas. Deroi Innovations’ solution involves modifying the tea production lines to use Grid Power in combination with Solar electricity. Since 65% of the energy demands are met from combustible fuels, factories are not motivated to explore solar electricity and avail the subsidies from the government.
