Overview
The EarthON Fund aims to be a $100 million blended capital evergreen fund designed to back grassroots entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures working at the intersection of environment sustainability and income generation for under-served communities. We combine philanthropic, debt, SAFE and equity instruments to catalyze innovations.
Our vision is to create a thriving ecosystem and market for sustainability, investing not just in entrepreneurs—but in the systems, networks, and models that drive long-term change.
Our Focus Areas
The Fund will primarily invest in and support organisations and enterprises working in:
Agroecology
Promoting sustainable agriculture, farmer resilience, and food system transformation
Circularity
Reducing waste, reusing resources, and driving local green economies.
Decarbonising Industry
Enabling small and medium enterprises to transition to low-carbon processes.
We remain open to supporting other innovations that align with climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and equitable growth.
Why EarthON Fund
Most funds back mid to large, established organisations. EarthON Fund supports those who usually get left out—grassroots organisations and early-stage startups building real solutions for their communities. We come in early with grants and family-first investments to build their capacity, test ideas, and connect them to larger capital. In some cases, we co-invest with others to help them scale.
Catalytic by Design
We use blended capital to de-risk innovation and draw in follow-on investors.
System Change Focus
We invest in market enablers—not just individual enterprises.
Founder First
Our structure follows the entrepreneur’s lead, not the investor’s bias.
Global South Grounding
We use blended capital to de-risk innovation and draw in follow-on investors.
Our Philosophy
The best solutions come from those closest to the problem. EarthON empowers these local leaders—rooted in community and driven to protect the planet for generations to come.
Approach – Blended Capital for Inclusive Impact
The EarthON Fund blends philanthropic grants, catalytic equity, debt and quasi-equity (SAFE) to unlock both ecosystem-level transformation and entrepreneur-led innovation.
We back:
Early-stage Startups and Social Enterprises
with flexible equity or SAFE investments ($25,000–$100,000).
Grassroots and Community Organisations
through seed grants ($5,000–$20,000) for proof-of-concept or early pilots.
Ecosystem Builders
We offer grants to networks, incubators, and demonstration projects that accelerate adoption of climate solutions.
Our investments aim to reduce early-stage risk, crowd in private capital, and build pathways for scale.
The EarthON Accelerator – Building Capacity and Community
The EarthON Accelerator is the engine of the Fund—built to discover, nurture, and connect high-potential eco-champions through thematic challenges, bootcamps, and hands-on mentorship.
Each cohort and challenge benefits from:

The Accelerator follows challenges and bootcamps to uncover innovators often overlooked by mainstream investors. We do this by:
- Running decentralized challenges and bootcamps with local partners to identify promising startups and organizations.
- Hosting selected changemakers at the EarthON Gurukul —our flagship residential entrepreneurship school in rural West Bengal.
- Using AI-driven due diligence and a low-cost, high-trust approach to assess engagement, feasibility, and impact.
- Providing micro-grants to early teams to help them become investment-ready.
This approach creates a continuous pipeline of scalable, community-rooted solutions and a thriving ecosystem of eco-champions connected to mentors, investors, and peers—working together to drive system change.
Join Us
We are launching a $10 million pilot fund for India powered by philanthropic capital, anchored by two not-for-profit entities—one registered in the U.S. as a 501(c)(3) and another in India with FCRA and 80G status.
The Fund will build a portfolio of grants and investments supporting both ecosystem builders and entrepreneurs delivering sustainable products and services on the ground.
With this experience, we aim to scale the model, proving how blended capital can unlock climate action and livelihoods at once. We invite philanthropic partners, catalytic investors, and ecosystem allies to join us in reimagining how capital can nurture people, planet, and prosperity—together.
