Our Model

At EarthON Foundation, we build a pipeline of impact-ready solutions—rooted in the realities of climate change and rural livelihoods. We work with founders who are proximate to the problems, helping them refine, and scale transformative ideas through a journey of Community, Capital and Capacity.

Our annual Greenovation Challenges focus on urgent and emerging themes—renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, and decarbonisation.

Run in partnership with academic institutions, incubators, and ecosystem enablers, these challenges help us surface and support local, grounded, and implementable solutions. We look for ideas that don’t just promise impact—but show traction, context-fit, and founder commitment.

We announce 2–3 challenge themes every year, and shortlist promising ventures through a mix of application screening, bootcamps, and solution showcases.

Our Bootcamps are regional, hands-on workshops that offer short bursts of deep engagement. In 2–3 days of collaborative learning, founders sharpen their models, engage in peer review, and connect with mentors.

Held across different states, these bootcamps help us understand region-specific problems and support founders in navigating operational, technical, and strategic challenges.

We keep the format light but rigorous—focusing on practical tools, storytelling, validation techniques, and founder wellbeing.

An Immersive Space for Deep Thinking and Clarity

Select founders are invited to TapovON—our retreat and learning centre nestled in the rural heartland of Hanskhali, Nadia (West Bengal). Here, over 4–5 days, we slow down and go deeper. TapovON offers a space to reflect on governance, leadership, inner resilience, and long-term strategy. The Gurukul brings together facilitators, mentors, and peers in a nurturing setting—where the place becomes part of the pedagogy.

Backing Impact-Ready Founders with Flexible Capital

Capital should never be a bottleneck for good ideas to grow. At EarthON, we provide catalytic capital to help founders take the next leap—once they complete our Gurukul program.

  • Up to ₹4 lakhs/year in unrestricted grants for NGO founders
  • Equity investments up to ₹80 lakhs for for-profit ventures

We look for readiness, clarity of model, and intent to scale—not just perfect pitch decks.

Founders in our funnel gain more than just direct support from EarthON. We plug them into a wider ecosystem of:

  • Partners (academia, corporates, state actors, and civil society)
  • Mentors and experts across climate tech, design, and social enterprise
  • Platforms for visibility and storytelling
  • Peer circles of entrepreneurs on similar journeys

Each year, we run a series of challenge-based programs and hands-on engagements to identify and strengthen a cohort of purpose-driven founders – whether it’s the young innovator with a solar irrigation prototype, or the local NGO testing regenerative farming in tribal districts.

What We Look For

We work with entrepreneurs and organizations that:

Are deeply rooted in the problems they are solving

Have early traction or proof of concept in rural or climate-affected areas

Are building solutions with potential for scale or replication

Show strong intent and openness to learning and iteration

We support both non-profit and for-profit models—
what matters most is the potential to unlock climate solutions that serve people and the planet.
